Linda Steele lives in Melbourne, Victoria. Fabric, colour, thread, embroidery and quilting have been her life since 1997 when she first discovered the joy of making a quilt. It was not long before she realised that she was more interested in making quilts as art for the wall rather than a bed cover. Crazy quilting proved to be the perfect vehicle for her to commence her original design work. Using this technique she was able to freely combine her love of colour and fabric with embroidery. Over the years she has designed and made many applique and crazy quilts. Linda’sinterest in designing quilts with a narrative has provided a natural progression towards designing and making art quilts including The Blues.
Some days nothing seems to go the way you expected or wanted. You just have the blues!
