Statement: In the dry box/ironbark forests it is the space between the trunks that interests me. In winter there is little colour as the spaces stand out in moonlight or mist.

Statement: Part of a series of works inspired by the bushland that I live in on the NSW South Coast. I am fascinated by the variety of colours in the eucalypt leaves and the effects of light and shadow on the leaves. This work explores the moonlight shining through the leaves.

Statement: Exploration to new countries offered new sights and tastes. Our black swans were certainly a fascination. Exploration was the search for glory and goods - feathering the nests and coffers of adventurous countries. We also feather our nests but often our feathering is merely the re-invigoration of a room.

Plant matter still adheres to the surface adding unexpected tactile elements. The accident now more interesting than the original.
