Linda Steele has been making original textile work since 2004. She has won many major awards in Australia and internationally including two Best of Shows and many Excellence awards. She has been invited to join many group exhibitions in Australia, USA, England and China and is currently working on her third solo show. Her work has been published in many Australian and American publications.
Linda is an accredited quilt judge, teacher and senior appraiser of quilts for insurance companies. She is a past President and Life member of Waverley Patchworkers inc. and the current Convenor of the Victorian Quilters inc. State quilt show. Linda has run the Waverley Art Quilters group for over 10 years and is currently the President of Ozquilt Network.
Linda’s current work focusses on exploring emotions and feelings using non-objective abstract and abstracted reality.
