I live in Kingston Ontario, Canada, in an area known as ‘The Land of Lakes’. I spend at least part of every day outside, walking, cycling, kayaking and exploring. I am inspired by the everyday beauty I see in the natural environment. When not outdoors, I can usually be found in my home studio where I play with photography, print making, fabric dyeing, hand sewing and free-motion stitching. These varied techniques are used in concert to interpret the magnificence of nature into tangible fibre art.
Past studies in creative arts, biology, and ecology and ongoing travel to explore global cultures and environments inform my work.

Statement: Nature absorbs the sun’s energy, using it to create the blossoms and buds of spring. The cold dark earth is warmed and coaxed to split open, releasing the first purples and blues and the landscape comes alive with a bounty of colour as blooms and foliage burst forth.
