AW6 Preview: Sue Cunningham

Today’s preview of the Australia Wide Six exhibition is Made In Victoria by Sue Cunningham of Stawell, Victoria. This work uses  a phone image taken from inside the train that she regularly takes to Melbourne to look after her little grandson. The printed piece on silk is a small journal on cloth to record her trips. She has taken many images of the patterns that she sees on her journeys, and has incorporated the tactile ground surface indicator patterns found on platforms and footpaths into this piece.

The official opening of Australia Wide Six is on Saturday 1 September 2018 in conjunction with the Ozquilt Network annual general meeting and forum The Art of Curating presented by Brenda Gael Smith (10am-3pm). Bookings essential – BOOK ONLINE
