Today’s preview of the Australia Wide Six exhibition is ntemporary Landscape 1 by Linden Lancaster of Picola, Victoria. Linden’s work arises from her stack of ‘ideas’ books filled with sketches, song lines, poetry, colour notes, techniques and her own photographs. ‘Every day I see and experience things that inspire me: interactions between people, their work and play; shapes, colour and line in the landscape, quotes and ideas from reading, it could be anything….my mind is always brimming with possibilities’. AW6 Preview is a series of daily blog posts from 29 July to 31 August 2018 that will feature an artist and preview their artwork from the Ozquilt Network members’ exhibition Australia Wide Six. The exhibition will premiere at 76 Queen Street Galleries, Concord West, Sydney 31 August – 18 September 2018 and continue on tour until September 2020.
