Carolyn Sullivan lives just outside Bundanoon, a rural township, two hours out of Sydney, Australia. This plateau country surrounded by eucalypt and deciduous trees is a park like site. Its cool climate, many gardens, closeness to the escarpment and beautiful mists, provides lots of inspiration for her work. Similarly, her journeys away from home also present opportunities to observe, draw, interpret and incorporate new ideas into her works. Carolyn has two works in Australia Wide Seven.
- Away from Home: Indian decorative arts are such an inspiration.
- Blown by the Wind : Grasses do such wonderful things – hold soil in place, feed stock, store nutrients, a place for many organisms, provide seeds for food and so much more. But best of all I love to see them rippling across the land in the wind and glimmering with sun and dew.
