This is a preview of the contemporary textiles exhibition Art Quilt Australia 2023. Sandra Champion of Hobart, Tasmania made a touch of frost #2 from recycled paper, cardboard and teabag paper, vintage Japanese kimono silks, scrim, gauze, acrylic mediums, inks, stencils and cottons.
The weather forecast predicted a touch of frost, the first for the season, followed by a sunny day with clear skies. However, due to a cold north westerly wind, the sky over the River Derwent was covered in cloud by mid-morning.
