Wilma Cawley of Canberra loves the serendipity of experimentation with rust and paints/dyes on textiles and paper. Her inspiration to transform these experiments are often inspired by her surroundings or her Dutch heritage. Smoky Moon was inspired by the longing during the summer bush fires to see the sun. Instead the sun looked like a smoky moon.
Australia Wide Seven premieres at Belconnen Arts Centre from 30 October until 18 December 2020. The opening is at 6pm on Friday 30 October. All welcome! Due to venue capacity requirements, opening night is a ticketed event. Tickets are free. Admittance without a ticket will not be permitted. Book for the opening now.
