My work primarily consists of semi-realistic Art Quilts created from a wide variety of new and upcycled fabrics. I work in a completely free way, generally based on photographs I have taken of my local environment. Fabrics are chosen based on colour and texture then layered in small pieces onto a base and free motion stitched by machine to create the image.
My aim is to capture a moment in time, sometimes atmospheric and moody, sometimes vibrant and full of life. These are the simple moments that make up our lives.
